Mariam Shatirishvili
Mariam did what most people only dream to do at 2am after a bad meeting in the office: she quit the corporate world, on the theory, no promise, that life is more interesting outside a cubicle than inside one.
With a business background and a habit of turning curiosity into full-blown expeditions, she's happiest between a mountain trail, a climbing wall and an idea too spontaneous to survive a strategy meeting.
A runner, climber, hiker and lifelong explorer, Mariam has a particular gift for saying "I've never done that before" and doing it anyway, in style: survival trainings, high-altitude ascents and the occasional questionable decision to join the team of crazy humans at 3,000+ meters, all chased with equal enthusiasm.
At Altihut, she brings raw energy, stubborn determination and a fierce love for the mountains, all while still working out what she wants to become "when she grows up".
Fair warning: that question tends to stay gloriously unanswered here.
